Thanks for all those who contributed or bought pictures at the September exhibition!!!
Volunteers Sharron and Ellen (Shao Gao) travelled to Liangshan in early November to do the first years distribution trip of goods with the monies raised so far. All children except one came to the local project exhibition dinner and distribution day. Ch Ha couldn’t make it for a very good reason - one of the elder children at 15, Ch Ha had skipped a school year due to a lack of shool fees. His schools fees have been donated by a local sponsor and Ch is enjoying school again il in the nearby county township.
The 14 children were given blankets, warm water proof winter coats, snow boots and a small library was started for the them to use on a drop in basis at a local NGO centre. Shy but sweet words of thanks were expressed by all. The kids and grandparents were amazed that their art works had been exhibited in Shanghai and send you their thanks for the goods.
